Read Now

Problems on the job, at home, in your relationship and battle weary at church. That’s a bad combination when all of them are happening at once. So, what do you do?

Well, you don’t get weary in well doing. (Galatians 6:9) But you do continue to press on toward the mark. (Philippians 3:14) If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. (Proverbs 24:10) And God says, you are more than a conqueror. (Romans 8:37) Truth be told, YOU’RE made for this!!!!

Remember, a gem cannot be polished without friction. Nor a man polished without trials. (Lucius Annaeus Seneca)

“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

The slap in the face. The brush off. The job falling through and the relationship ending abruptly. That type of disappointment doesn’t feel good at all. In fact, it hurts.

However, you can’t t focus so much on the dismissal.  Instead, realize that God is blocking you from what you couldn’t see. (Psalm 121:7-8)

Always remember this: Closed doors. Rejections. They do not decide your fate. They simply redirect your course. You must keep moving because life’s detours can also be meaningful. (Dodinsky)

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

“Seeing Yourself”

I need to lose weight. My hair is awful. I hate my skin. My curves are hideous. Now, that isn’t you putting yourself down, is it?

Fact is no matter how you see yourself. You must know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) There comes a time that you have to stop comparing yourself to what you think you should look like. And thank God of how beautiful and handsome He has made you. (1 Peter 3:3-4)

Remember, learn to see yourself as Heavenly Father sees you - as His precious daughter or son with divine potential. (Dieter F. Uchtdorf)

“You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.” (Song of Solomon 4:7)

Fact is tomorrow is not promised. (James 4:13-14) You think that you can wait and get your life right later. However, what if you keep putting off what you should do today for tomorrow, but tomorrow doesn’t come?

It’s time to stop playing!!!!!

Remember, what we do now echoes in eternity. (Marcus Aurelius)

“Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.” (Proverbs 27:1)

Plotting. Scheming. Concocting. Conspiring.  That’s what you do when you’re secretly making plans to carry out on someone that has done you wrong. Now, that isn’t you, is it?

It’s understandable why you want to get revenge and do to them what they’ve done to you. But you can’t. God says that vengeance is His and He will repay. (Romans 12:19) YOU just need to be still and watch the deliverance of the Lord. (Exodus 14:13)

Remember, the best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury. (Marcus Aurelius)

“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.” (Matthew 5:44-45)

Stress. Who hasn’t had that in their lives? Being stressed is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.

YES! You have every right to be stressed out and overwhelmed by the circumstances that have succumbed you. But does that mean that you crawl up and die? NO! It means that you fight and declare and decree your situation fixed, healed and resolved. Speak as if it is done. (Proverbs 18:21)

Remember, if you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.” (Marcus Aurelius)

“Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.” (Mark 11:23)

Have you ever been in a car wreck and were more upset about the car then the fact you could have been killed in the wreck?

In life sometimes we focused more on the problems that have occurred. Rather than the blessings that are upon us.

Remember, better to lose count while naming your blessings than to lose your blessings to counting your troubles. (Maltbie D. Babcock)

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

You tithe. Attend church faithfully. Sow seeds. Loyal. Honest Trustworthy. Forgive those that aren’t even sorry. But you’re still going through it. However, the enemy looks as if they’re prospering and flourishing. So, now you want to stop. Is that your story?

Don’t get fooled and tricked by the enemy and stop. God isn’t mocked. What you sow you shall reap. (Galatians 6:7) And you will reap every righteous act that you’ve done. (2 Corinthians 9:6)

God isn’t blind. He sees all and hears all. (Hebrews 4:13) And He is for YOU!!!!! (Psalm 105:15)

Remember, it is easy to hate and it is difficult to love. This is how the whole scheme of things works. All good things are difficult to achieve; and bad things are very easy to get. (Confucius)

“He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like the green leaf.” (Proverbs 11:28)

In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!" (Mark 10:25)

DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!!!!!!!!

The divorce. The breakup. The losses. They’re all too much to bear. But you need to cry later and shout NOW. For weeping may endure for a moment but joy does come in the morning.  (Psalm 30:5)

God doesn’t take anything away without replacing with something better.

Remember, we should feel sorrow, but not sink under its oppression. (Confucius)

How many of you know what it feels like to be attacked? Whether it was from the North, South, East or West. You’re a living testimony that what he meant for evil God means for your good. (Genesis 50:20)

Fact is you’re a survivor and made for the struggle. So, before you fall out or crawl up in the bed because you're sick and tired of being sick and tired. Count it all joy. (James 1:2)

Because the enemy thought he would take you out. But just go look in the mirror. If you see yourself that means that you’re still alive. (A SURVIVOR)

Remember, you can’t be intimidated when you’ve already been terrorized and survived!!!! (Pastor Jamal Bryant)

You think you can’t do it. They said you can’t. It looks like you’re out of money. You don’t know what else to do. Before you have a panic attack ask yourself, do you trust man or God?

Just because the possible seems impossible doesn’t mean that you should give up. Fact is what is impossible with man is possible with God. (Luke 18:27)

Remember, when it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps. (Confucius)

So, start walking by faith and not by sight! (2 Corinthians 5:7)

He should have done this. She did the wrong thing. They had no right doing that.  Can you relate?

Truth is there is always going to be someone or something that isn’t going to sit well with you. But that doesn’t mean that you have to argue and act a fool with them.

Remember, waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one. (Marcus Aurelius)

In this life storms are going to blow your way that are going to be out of your control. Does is look bad? YES! But what does God say?

God says for you to put your trust in Him and not in man. (Psalm 118:8) For we live by Faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) No matter what “they” said or how bad it looks. See yourself out of the storm and everything working together for your good. (Romans 8:28)

Remember, it's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see. (Henry David Thoreau)
