“Is The Glass Half Full or Half Empty?”

Read Now

Two people can see a butterfly flying in the air. And one can see a caterpillar and the other can see a beautiful moth. The key, perception.

So, how are you seeing things in life? Do you see the glass half full or half empty? Just because you aren’t where you want to be doesn’t mean you are were you used to be either.

Fact is you must walk by faith and not by sight.  (2 Corinthians 5:7)

Remember, it all depends on how we look at things, and not how they are in themselves. (Carl Jung)

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Change can be hard to do and hard to take.  However, everything isn’t how it appears either. Salt can look like sugar and sugar can look like salt.

Fact is when changes come in your life you must embrace them. From the surface things might appear negative and might not be what you want. But be still and wait patiently for The Lord. (Psalm37:7)

Remember, some changes look negative on the surface, but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge. (Eckhart Tolle)

“"But forget all that--it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Remember, you can't cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water. (Rabindranath Tagore)

Just because you think it doesn’t mean it needs to be said. Often, are mouths write checks that we just can’t cash.

Today, you have to stop standing with your foot in your mouth. Everything foolish doesn’t need a response.

Remember, listen! Clam up your mouth and be silent like an oyster shell, for that tongue of yours is the enemy of the soul, my friend. When the lips are silent, the heart has a hundred tongues. (Rumi)

“Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything.” (Proverbs 13:3)

“Do You Really Think That’s a Good Idea?”

Read Now

Folks make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings all the time. An argument and miscommunication can lead to a break up. A misunderstanding can leave a person walking out on their job. It’s time to ask yourself, was that a good idea?

You can’t react negative every time something doesn’t go your way. You must be still and watch the deliverance of the Lord on your behalf. (Exodus 14:13)

Remember, never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come. (Robert H. Schuller)

Life can sometimes feel like a storm. Rough and raging winds throw you every which way. And powerful raindrops fall on you, cutting you like a knife. Sound familiar?

Well, keep this in mind. No matter how big or how wide a storm is, it must come to a stop at some point. Some storms you battle through may last just an hour, some for a day. And then, there will be those storms that linger for days on end. But rest assured, all of those storms, big and small, will come to an end.

Remember, if you want to see the sunshine, you have to weather the storm. (Frank Lane)

There are a lot of ways that people take control and use to being in control. But what happens when you can’t control the situation or diagnosis because it’s out of your hand?

Truth is God knew you before you were born, and He knows how the story is going to end. (Jeremiah 1:5) And while you’re running all over trying to handle everything stressing yourself out. God is already working it out.

Remember, our anxiety does not come from thinking about the future, but from wanting to control it. (Khalil Gibran)

Have you ever wanted to tell off someone and just let them know how you feel? What about that job that you’ve worked hard on for years and you put in the dedication and one day they tell you they are laying you off? OUCH!

But cursing and telling them how you feel will do what? Sometimes you must know when to speak and when to keep quiet. Not everything or everybody needs a response.

Remember, knowledge is knowing what to say. Wisdom is knowing when to say it. (Unknown)

“Why Do I Have To Go Through This?”

Read Now

Why am I going through this? Why God? Why? How many of you keep asking God that question right now?

It seems every which way you turn you’re being attacked. But instead of asking God why? Start thanking Him and praising for the storm and affliction you’re going through. (James 1:2)

See you’re a bank. And you have so much treasure and gold in you that the enemy wants it. (Deuteronomy 7:6) And you know the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. (John 10:10) But you have a “guard” all around you that has a hedge of protection covering you. (Job 1:10) So, the enemy can come. But he can’t take what’s in you. (Psalm 91:7)

Remember, character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved. (Helen Keller)

“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)
